Rachel Adams, Chelsea Borrow, Ellie Charalambous, and Rhiannon Turner-Noakes were Sussex players invited to compete. Ellie Charalambous and Rhiannon Turner-Noakes finished first with Gold medals in the Girls Doubles.
Bryony Morris was the only Sussex player invited to compete, and (with Vikki Primmer of Berkshire) finished as runners-up and a silver medal.

Tom Harris won Silver medals in both Boys Singles and Boys Doubles (with Angus Pedersen of Middlesex). Marie White reached the Semi Finals and won a Bronze in the Girls Singles. Both the pairings of Rachel Adams & Rachel Fenner and Jessica Bennett & Eden Myall also reached the Semi Finals and won their Bronze medals in the Girls Doubles.
Hannah Gibson, Harry Hacking, Oliver Lambert, Bryony Morris, and Edward Norton competed at the above tournament. Bryony Morris reached the Semi Finals of the Girl Singles, and went on to finish as Runner-up in the Mixed Doubles (with Neel Clements of Kent).
Philip Fenner was the only competitor from Sussex, finishing third in the Boys Doubles (with Jack Kinmond of Berkshire) and a Bronze medal; and went on to win the Mixed Doubles event and a Gold medal (with Anna Showan of Hampshire).

Philip Fenner, the only Sussex player in this tournament,obtained his bronze medals in both the Silver Boys Singles and the Silver Boys Doubles by reaching the semi finals stage.
Bryony Morris was the sole Sussex representative in this tournament, winning a Siver medal in the Silver Girls Singles, and a Gold medal in the Girls Doubles (with Georgia Colgate of Essex).
Chris Clark, Rob Fenner, and Sam Lock represented Sussex. Chris Clarke and Sam Lock were the silver medalists in the final of the Bronze Boys Doubles, and Rob Fenner reached the quarter finals of the Bronze Boys Singles, as well as obtaining a bronze medal in the semi finals of the Bronze Boys Doubles.
Felicity Boyce, Claire Bracuti, Kate Stephens, Sami Tom Zaouia-Young, and Dominic Wiyanta travelled to Wiltshire to represent Sussex. Dominic Wiyanta (and Richard Goodeve-Ballard of Hampshire) reached the Semi Finals in the Bronze Boys Doubles, but were narrowly beaten 13 - 15 by a Surrey pair.
Chris Clarke, Sam Lock, Kim George, and Luke Thomson represented Sussex. Luke Thomson (and C. Turner - GW) won the Silver Mixed Doubles; Kim George (and A. Pulford - Nottinghamshire) finished as runners-up in the Silver Girls Doubles, as well as reaching the semi finals of the Silver Mixed Doubles (with B. Stawski of Warwickshire).
David Boxall, Tom Harris, Eden Myall, Rhiannon Turner-Noakes, and MarieWhite represented Sussex. Rhiannon Turner-Noakes won a Bronze medal in the Girls Singles; Eden Myall (and C. Birch of Yorkshire) finished runners-up in the Girls Doubles; and Tom Harris (and A. Pedersen of Middlesex) also won a bronze medal in the Boys Doubles.
Felicity Boyce, Bryony Morris, Kate Stephens, Sam Baker, Philip Fenner, Tom Fenner, Evan Gill, Harry Hacking, Robert Minter, Edward Norton, Dominic Wiyanta and Sami Tom Zaouia-Young all competed in this first Under-15 tournament of the season. Kate Stephens reached the quarter finals of the Bronze Girls Singles, and Tom Fenner finished as Runner-up in the Bronze Boys Singles. The first Under-13 Gold Tournament (previously known as JC Select) took place at High Wycombe, with Philip Fenner as the only Sussex representative. Having finished in the ninth position in Boys Singles, Philip went on to win a Bronze medal with his partner Anna Showan (of Hampshire) in the Mixed Doubles.
Mark Burtenshaw, Chris Clarke, Peter Dembrey, Jamie Dunmill, Rob Fenner, Sam Lock, Helen Merrett, Oliver Norris, Chris Nunn, Felicity Porter, Bronwyn Powell, and Tessa Saunders competed at this tournament. Felicity Porter, Helen Merrett and Bronwyn Powell reached the semi finals, with Felicity Porter finishing as Runner-up, in the Girl Singles. Helen Merrett and Tessa Saunders reached the semi finals, with Felicity Porter (and Gemma Whiting of Kent) as the eventual winners of the Girls Doubles. Sussex finished 15th overall (out of 39 competing teams) on this four-day Under-17 event at Nottingham University. Tom Harris reached the quarter finals and Alexander Harris reached the semi finals and won a Bronze medal in the Boys Singles. Sussex had a good turn out on this tournament as Felicity Boyce, Philip Fenner, Hannah Gibson, Harry Hacking, Oliver Lambert, Sarah Leigh, Marilyn Messenger, Edward Norton, Dominic Wiyanta and Michael Wooldridge wore the Sussex colours here. Eddie Norton (playing with Andrew Craig of Avon) won Bronze medal in the Alternative Boys Doubles. Robert Tring (with his partner Ralph Pedersen of Middlesex) reached the Semis of the Main Boys Doubles and won a Bronze medal.
Both Sussex Under-13 and Under-15 teams qualifies for the Final Rounds to be held at Luton Regional Sports Centre on 12th March 2005 (Under-13) and 13th March 2005 (Under-15).
The Under-13 team came top at the Qualifying Rounds beating Middlesex 4-2, Kent 6-0, and Surrey 4-2. Dorset dropped out of the competition at the last minute. The team was made up of (Girls) Felicity Boyce, Hannah Gibson, Sarah Leigh, Marilyn Messenger, Bryony Morris, (Boys) Philip Fenner, Oliver Lambert, Robert Tring, and Dominic Wiyanta.
The Under-15 team finished runners-up on beating Middlesex 7-0, Surrey 4-3, and Berkshire 6-1, but lost their match against Kent 2-5. The team was (Girls) Kim George, Justine Thompson, Kate Stephens, (Boys) Mark Burtenshaw, Peter Dembrey, Tom Fenner, Luke Thomson.
Alexander Harris and Patrick Hough were the only Sussex representatives in this tournament. Alexander Harris finished runner-up and won a Silver medal in the Boys Singles, and with his partner Patrick Hough, they also won Silvers in the Boys Doubles.
Peter Dembrey, Tom Fenner and Kim George represented Sussex in this tournament. Kim George won Gold in the Grade 2 Girls Singles, and two further Golds in the Girls Main Doubles with her partner Alison Pulford (Notts) and in the Mixed Doubles with her partner Ben Stawski (Warwickshire).

Charlie Buirski, Peter Dembrey, and Tom Fenner represented Sussex. Tom Fenner gained a bronze medal in Grade 4 Boys Singles, and together with his partner Peter Dembrey, also won bronze medals in the Alternative Boys Doubles.
Philip Fenner and Jack Thomson were the only Sussex representatives. Jack Thomson and his partner Steven Cappleman (Hampshire) reached the Semis and won their bronze medals in the Grade 2 Boys Doubles. Philip Fenner and Jason Lai (Cambridgeshire) were runners-up and won silver medals in the Grade 3 Boys Doubles.
Kevin Gill, William Hilton-Jackson, Helen Merrett, and Felicity Porter represented Sussex. Kevin Gill won Gold in Boys Grade 3 Singles, and went on to win another Gold with his partner William Hilton-Jackson in the Alternate Boys Doubles.
The first JC Under-13 Select Tournament took place at High Wycombe with 24 boys and 15 girls Grade 2 players competed. Sussex was represented by Oliver Lambert (in Doubles only), Jack Thomson, Robert Tring, and Dominic Wiyanta. Robert Tring finished 6th overall and Dominic Wiyanta finished 15th in Boys Singles. Robert Tring (and Ralph Pedersen of Middlesex) also finished 4th and gained a Bronze medal in Boys Doubles, whilst Oliver Lambert & Dominic Wiyanta finished 8th overall in Boys Doubles.
Kevin Gill, William Hilton-Jackson, Lauren Holness, Helen Merrett, and Darren Wilmott competed and represented Sussex. William Hilton-Jackson was runner-up and won a silver medal in Grade 4 Boys Singles. Lauren Holness reached the Quarter Finals of the Girls Singles, and Kevin Gill & William Hilton-Jackson reached the Quarter Finals of the Boys Doubles.
Sam Baker, Oliver Lambert, Jack Thomson, Robert Tring, and Dominic Wiyanta represented Sussex. Robert Tring reached the quarter finals in the Boys Singles.
Bronwyn Powell, Kimberley George, and Luke Thomson represented Sussex. Luke Thomson won Gold medal in the Boys Singles beating Andrew Brunning (Essex) 21-18. Luke also gained a Silver medal in the Boys Doubles with his partner Ben Stawski (Warwickshire). Bronwyn Powell won a Bronze medal in the Girls Singles. Bronwyn Powell and Kimberley George won Silver medals in the Girls Doubles. Kimberley reached the Quarter finals in Singles.
Sam Baker, Harry Hacking, Oliver Lambert, Edward Norton, Ross Paterson, Robert Tring, and Dominic Wiyanta entered this tournament. In Boys Singles, Robert Tring, having won the closely fought semi final 15-12 13-15 and 15-4 against his doubles partner Ralph Pedersen (Middlesex), finally had to contend for the second place to Chris Coles (Avon). The final was also a long drawn out affair where Robert had only missed it by a whisker as the score suggested 15-6 14-17 and 13-15. The Boys Doubles was won by Robert Tring and his partner Ralph Pedersen (of Middlesex). Sam Baker and Oliver Lambert also reached the semi final.

In Girls Singles, both Sarah Boyce and Lauren Holness reached the semi finals, as well as Kevin Gill in Boys Singles.In Boys Doubles, Kevin Gill and Nick Wright finished as Runners-up. In Girls Doubles, Sarah Boyce and Felicity Porter also finished as Runners-up. Lauren Holness and her partner Sarah Danzelman (Bedfordshire) reached the Semis. Finally, in Mixed Doubles, the pairings of Felicity Porter and Kevin Gill and Lauren Holness and Nick Wright reached the semis.
Felicity Boyce, Bryony Morris, Sam Baker, Harry Hacking, Oliver Lambert, Edward Norton, Ross Paterson, Jack Thomson, Robert Tring, Dominic Wiyanta and Michael Wooldridge are the Sussex entrants at the 19th Margaret Tipton tournament. Felicity and Bryony finished runners-up in the Girls Doubles. Robert Tring reached the Semi Final of the Boys Doubles and lost 15-14 in the most exciting and closely fought game to Peter Briggs of Leicestershire. In Boys Doubles, the pairings of Robert Tring (and his partner Richard Wilson of Hertfordshire) and Harry Hacking and Edward Norton also reached the Semi Finals. Jack Thomson (and his partner Tom Stanford, Buckinghamshire) and Dominic Wiyanta (and Tim Strangs, Gloucestershire) also reached the Quarter Finals.
Having won both the playoff games at the end of the very long day, our Sussex Under-15 team finished sixth at the final round of the Team Challenge.

Jack Thomson, Robert Tring, and Dominic Wiyanta competed in the National Championship. Claire Bracuti, Charlie Buirski, Tom Fenner, Oliver Lambert, Kate Stephens, Jack Thomson, and Dominic Wiyanta represented Sussex in the National Challenge. Jack Thomson reached the quarter final in the Boys Singles, Claire Bracuti and Kate Stephens won Bronze in the Girls Doubles. Oliver Lambert and Dominic Wiyanta also reached the semi-finals of the Boys Doubles and won their Bronze medals.

A total of 19 Boys and 4 Girls represented Sussex. Claire Bracuti won Bronze Medal and Kate Stephens won Silver Medal in the Girls Grade 3&4 Singles. Evan Gill and William Harrington won Silver Medals in the Boys Alternate Doubles.
A total of 11 Boys and 7 Girls represented Sussex. Luke Thomson won the Silver medal in the Boys Grade 2 Singles, and Sam Lock won Silver in the Boys Grade 3 Singles.Robert Fenner won Bronze medal in the Boys Grade 4 Singles.
In the Girls section, Felicity Porter won her Bronze medal in the Girls Grade 2 Singles. In the Main Girls Doubles, Bronwyn Powell and Kimberley George won their Silver Medals. Becky Laffan, and her partner Phillipa Rogers (Cheshire), won Bronze.
Dean George won Gold in the Boys Singles, as well as the Boys Doubles with his partner Andy Ellis (Yorkshire). Kirsten Read, Luke Jones and Josh Miles also competed.
Lauren Holness, Kevin Gill, and William Hilton-Jackson competed in this tournament. Lauren Holness won Gold Medal in the Girls Grade 4 Singles.

Kevin Gill, William Hilton-Jackson, Lauren Holness, and Luke Jones competed in this event. Lauren Holness won Gold in the Grade 4 Girls Singles and deservedly earned her place as a Grade 3 in the forthcoming events. Kevin Gill and William Hilton-Jackson won Bronze in the Boys Alternative Doubles. Luke Jones also reached the Semi Finals and won Bronze in the Main Doubles with his partner Jack Molyneux (Surrey).
Both our Sussex Under-15 and Under-13 teams got through the qualifying round today at The Triangle, Burgess Hill. The Under-15 won all their ties against Hampshire, Middlesex, Surrey and Kent; whilst the Under-13 drew their final tie against Kent, but on points count back were declared the winner and came out Runners-up on the day. Well done to all the teams. Next stop: the Finals at Luton Regional Sports Centre on Saturday 3 April 2004 (for the Under-13) and Sunday 4 April 2004 (for the Under-15). See Team Photos
Sussex Under-13 was represented by Claire Bracuti, Bryony Morris, Tom Fenner, Evan Gill, Harry Hacking, William Harrington, Oliver Lambert, Jack Thomson and Dominic Wiyanta; with Michael Bracuti, Philip Fenner and Jack Thomson also competing as Sussex Under-11. Claire Bracuti and Bryony Morris won Gold medals in the Alternative Girls Doubles. Evan Gill and William Harrington won their Silver medals in the Alternative Boys Doubles.
In the Under-11 Boys Singles event, Jack Thomson won his Silver and Philip Fenner won Bronze medal. Jack Thomson also won Gold in the Boys Doubles with his partner, Tom Stanford (Buckinghamshire).
Luke Thomson reached the Mixed Doubles semi-finals with his partner Fontaine Chapman (Warwickshire) and the Boys Doubles semi-finals with Ben Stawski (Warwickshire).
